Banganga is home to ancient temples and the sacred, stepped Banganga Tank. We are reviving the site's historical and cultural significance, in collaboration with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (D-Ward) and Directorate of Archaeology and Museums (DoAM) by uplifting community spaces, enabling people to relive its stories through different programs, while fostering socio-economic development of surrounding communities.
We are funding the development and installation of comprehensive signage across the Victorian Gothic and Art Deco Ensembles of Mumbai. This ensemble of 94 buildings in Mumbai were declared a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) World Heritage Site in 2018.
In an effort to promote digital heritage tourism, we developed Amble – a mobile application enabling heritage enthusiasts to connect, reconnect and engage with places of historical and cultural significance. Amble features self-guided heritage walking tours around Mumbai. It is endorsed by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
Worli Koliwada is an 800-year-old urban village with the historic Worli Fort at its tip. The Heritage Project is working with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC - G-South Ward) to transform the area, from an aesthetic, urban planning and social development point of view, keeping in mind its historical and cultural status, and community needs.
