The Heritage Project (THP), seeded by the RPG Foundation (RPGF), is delighted to announce ‘Kulture Bay’, a musical evening at Worli Koliwada. The event will take place on Friday, 5th March from 5:30 pm onwards at Gora Dapkal ground in Worli Koliwada and is a free event, open to all.
The event is a collaboration between The Heritage Project, which works in the field of heritage revival to preserve India’s tangible and intangible heritage and Love Your Parks Mumbai (LYP), which advocates for open spaces in the city and curates outdoor experiences in collaboration with local civic bodies, artists, entrepreneurs and community groups.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of sunset at the Arabian Sea, the event will feature performances by artist Neel Adhikari and the band Fox in the Garden. It will feature interactive art sessions and a sketch walk to enliven your cultural perception of the area. The event will also be an opportunity to savour traditional Koli food hosted by the local chefs of Worli Koliwada.
Recognizing the cultural importance of Worli Koliwada, THP launched ‘The Worli Koliwada Transformation Project’, which aims to revive this historic site through various interventions.
This collaboration reinforces the commitment to strengthen the connection to public heritage sites and make them accessible to diverse audiences.
“As we gather to the rhythms of the music festival, we are not merely spectators, but participants in a timeless journey of art and heritage. This way, we make art accessible and renew our commitment to preserving Mumbai’s rich heritage and culture while raising awareness of its significance,” says Radha Goenka, Director of RPG Foundation.
